SUMMARY:Conférence: Libérer le potentiel du financement de l'Afrique
DESCRIPTION:L’économie africaine a réalisé des performances encourageantes au cours des dernières années. Son cadre macroéconomique a été assaini et ses perspectives de croissance sont très prometteuses. Mais son système financier demeure largement dominé par le système bancaire. \nOr\, les systèmes financiers sont généralement  illiquides\, très court-termistes ou coûtent très cher. Faute de ressources longues suffisantes\, ce système peine à financer convenablement le développement économique. Les entreprises demeurent fortement tributaires du financement bancaire. \nPour animer des économies\, les banques centrales des pays  africains n’ont eu pour corde à leur arc que la création de bourses de valeurs mobilières\, perfusant ainsi des liquidités salvatrices à l’endroit de leurs activités économiques.  \nComment moderniser l’infrastructure des bourses de valeurs mobilières pour améliorer leur liquidité\, leur attractivité ainsi que leur positionnement international ? \nSur le thème « Les Bourses des Valeurs Mobilières\, ou mode de financement alternatif des économies africaines francophones subsahariennes : Cas du Cameroun et de la Côte d’Ivoire »\, cette conférence a permis de dresser un bilan et de soulever les problématiques en vue d’accroître l’impact de ce marché financier dans la dynamique de financement des économies de l’Afrique. \nEn présence de :  \nMonsieur Mathurin DOUMBE\, Président du Conseil d’Administration de la Société Générale de Banques au Cameroun \nJean Baptiste HARELIMANA\, coordinateur du Pôle économie de l’IAM\, Modérateur  \nTéléchargez l’argumentaire complet \nTéléchargez la présentation de l’intervention \nPour aller plus loin: \nComment renforcer l’intégration financière en Afrique? SUMMARY:Conference: Unlocking Africa's Financing Potential
DESCRIPTION:The African economy has performed well in recent years. Its macroeconomic framework has been improved and its growth prospects are very promising. But its financial system remains largely dominated by the banking system. \nHowever\, financial systems are generally illiquid\, very short-term or very expensive. Without sufficient long-term resources\, this system is struggling to adequately finance economic development.
