The World Bank Group and AFD are pleased to invite you to the global launch of the World Development Report 2017.
Why are carefully designed and relevant public policies not more often adopted or implemented? When they are, why do they so often fail to produce development outcomes such as security, growth and equity? And why do bad policies persist? The World Development Report 2017: Governance and the Law raises these fundamental questions, which are at the heart of development.
